I’m Craig Leinicke – owner and operator of Flashback Racing – and I have been a certified car guy for a very long time. (Check out the grainy photo in the footer of me driving my first car!)
I have a passion for all things automotive – domestic or imported, abandoned or restored, shiny or suede – I love ’em all.
If the auto happens to have numbers on the side, no mufflers, and makes your pulse race when you hit the throttle, so much the better!
I’ve competed in drag racing, auto crossing, raced SCCA sports cars for 10 years, and have won both Regional and National events. I’ve also won numerous awards at both Car Shows and Road Rallys.
I’m currently rebuilding an MGB for a client and have recently reunited with one of my favorite race cars, so a rebuild/refresh (whichever is required) is now on my to-do list in the coming year.
For years, I neglected posting to and updating this website. During that time I attended so many car events, built and restored cars and trucks, and bought and sold cars for both myself and others. But I didn’t share those experiences here.

I love driving my ’61 Corvette convertible along coastal Highway 90 from Biloxi, MS, to Bay St Louis, MS, each October during Cruisin’ the Coast.
This website relaunch includes all of the posts made from its inception as well as new posts about Flashback Racing 2024 activities and experiences. Along the way, I plan to also fill in the years-long gaps as I recall projects, cars, and activities during that time. My goal is to share the auto “gems” that I’ve accumulated through my life with others. I hope you find valuable information here about:
- Buying and selling vintage cars/trucks
- Buying and selling parts for vintage cars/trucks
- Repairing and restoring vintage vehicles
My automotive mentors have given and continue to give me so much knowledge about car restoration and repair over the past 50 years (starting when I was 15!). I hope to “pay it forward” to everyone who may find a nugget of auto history, auto repair, or auto competition here.
If you have a vintage car or truck, or want to purchase a vintage car or truck, there’s a good chance I may know where to go, who to speak to for help, or how to sell it for you. Feel free to contact me to keep the world of vintage cars and trucks alive and well!
